After you apply, we’ll check your application and strive to get back to you within 14 days. Successful candidates will have a video interview with prospective hosts. We will confirm your place on our programmes as quickly as possible, with most final locations being confirmed within a few months of applying.
We judge all applicants on their merits and do not discriminate against candidates in any way. We aspire to be the most accessible, affordable, adventure programme available.

Funding update: 25/07/2024
From 31st August 2024 onwards, our funding will have run out. This means you will need to fund your flights on all programmes (unless we clearly email you to say otherwise.) You will also need to self-fund your TEFL training and support by paying a fixed fee of £1,500 per programme (regardless of duration).
For programmes running before 31st August 2024, the rules below will still apply:

Applicants from widening participation backgrounds are prioritised for our TESOL Primer and Direct Access programmes with full flight funding.
Everyone is eligible for a funded route, but you may need to fund your own flights and select costs if you do not meet criteria for TESOL Primer or Direct Access. Our programmes are competitive and the exact funding route you qualify for will be determined through the application and programme selection process.
Here at Gotoco, we don’t believe in charging students upfront fees to travel and join fun, engaging projects. We provide all of our support and platform to you for free and offer lots of funded benefits to make sure you can get the most out of your trip. Free means that we only offer programmes that have upfront costs to cover when we have pre-arranged funding via university, government or local partner grants.
